Tacking is easy, and multiple welds canquickly be added to fully weld the item, and more added to smooth the surface. You can adjust the laser beam from 0.2mm to 2mm for complete control of the heat and location. Welds can be carried out as close as 0.5mm from a heat-sensitive stone.

Can you laser weld gold and platinum?
Yes, a laser welder will weld gold. Gold and silver are highly reflective and challenging for a conventional laser, but jewellery laser welders are designed with pulsing to punch through the reflective surface and initiate melting. Platinum laser welds quite well also.
