Laser welder cost saving

Laser welders offer amazing cost savings. Since starting to use fibre lasers in mid 2021 including hand held laser welders, Deliver-Eze parcel letterboxes has become a bit of an expert. We’ve found laser welding can do things a TIG or MIG cannot, and do them much faster. In fact, we demonstrated one to a sheet metal factory that was TIG welding stainless steel tanks (1.5mm thick), and they reported the welding time after tacking was 10 minutes per tank, versus 60 minutes per tank with TIG. This was without using filler wire, so the total cost saving in labour, wire and Argon gas was huge. Purely considering labour, this is an 80% reduction in labour costs! Not to mention overheads and other savings.

Can use less skilled welders

I have the deepest respect for TIG welding and consider it an art form. I tried using a basic lift TIG and gave up in the end. BUT I can use a laser welder easily. So, there is an opportunity to use less skilled welders to do your laser welding, which can solve labour shortages and reduce the cost of labour.
